Step 1. Download and unzip
Please free download Image to PDF OCR Converter at first. You don’t have to install it, for the downloaded file is a ZIP file. The only thing you need to do is to unzip it to a local folder on your computer disk as normal. In the unzipped package, you can find an executable file named img2pdfocr.exe and it is the called program in the MS-DOS command prompt window.
Step 1. Input commands
In order to input commands, please open the MS-DOS command prompt window first. Then, please refer to the following command line template to input your commands.
img2pdf [options] <Image-file> [<PDF-file>]
In the above template:
- img2pdf: call the program—img2pdfocr.exe.
- [options]: set options for the conversion.
- <Image-file>: specify the input image.
- [<PDF-file>]: specify the output PDF file.
To convert image to PDF/A, please use the following option:
-pdfa: create PDF/A compliance PDF file
To make you better understand the above command line template and option, you can see the following example.
D:\img2pdfocr\img2pdfocr.exe -pdfx “E:\ catalog.jpg” “F:\ catalog.pdf”
This example is to convert the JPG image named catalog.jpg to PDF/A compliance PDF file named catalog.pdf.
After inputting the commands, please hit the Enter button on the keyboard to run the commands.
Several seconds later, you can get the desired PDF file in the folder you specify.
